News release

Highlights:
• The Main Barn is filled with interactive exhibits for guests of all ages. Big Buzz About Bees enables visitors to learn about bees through video programs, then slide back part of a honeycomb and check out a real hive. Eggsplore the Nest invites guests to experience “hatching out” of an oversized egg. The Farming & Weather station lets guests experience the rush of a tornado, the crackle of lightning, and the rumble of thunder.
• Animal Demonstration Areas provide visitors the opportunity to see and touch the animals that live on the Farm.
• A working Farmhouse kitchen calls guests to the table, where they can learn how food is prepared on the Farm.
• The Dairy Barn houses goats and cows. Here, visitors can learn where milk comes from and enjoy the opportunity to groom a goat.
• Fitz’s General Store is filled with cool, new stuff, straight from the Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere.

The barn doors are open again! The newly opened Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere is back and better than ever. The new Farm is interactive—rather than just looking, visitors are encouraged to learn by “doing.” The cows can be fed. The butter can be churned. The honey can be tasted.

The fun is growing at the Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere…come join us!
