About JOHN DEERE Mannheim Works
Mannheim tractor works were founded in 1859 by Heinrich Lanz and cover an area of 46 hectares. The legendary Bulldog, the first crude oil tractor, was produced in 1921. Deere & Company acquired Heinrich Lanz AG in 1956 a further milestone and a crucial step on the way to be a Global Player.
In 1981 the cab and open operator stations factory in Bruchsal started production. With the new assembly line - established in 1997 - the production of the 6010 series started.
