We're starting the GreenCollectors Model Project. My vision is to gather/coerce or by any means necessary, get the GC member community to build it's own collector resource on the Web, an encyclopedic directory on each antique JD tractor model (and other collecting niches -- implements, memorabilia, etc.) that would become a living, breathing, ever-changing learning library -- offering as deep an immersion into the subject as desired, including all the new collaborative tools of the Web to create value for the novice and serious collector alike. Since this will be a lot of work, I'm reaching out to those I consider leaders in this collecting/enthusiast world.

I realize this is a lot to bite off, and it's never really been done before -- but I have recently met a bunch of very smart both technically and concepI just need 2 things:

1/ Model Leaders: Solid, knowledgeable and Web-adept individuals who are experts on the model they choose, and willing to serve as community leaders for their Model Community. The community leader's role is to help compile the best information on their model, write comments and observations ocassionally, and serves as moderator of their community discussion forum. Prioritized qualifications to be a community leader are: 1/ knowledge of their Model Community topic; 2/ willingness and dedication to contrbute and move the needle; 3/Commitment to sincerely help preserve and promote the vast and vibrant world of John Deere collecting; 4/ We don't expect leaders to be to be nerdish about this make sure his community site has information and networking This role will require a little attentionSomeone willing to write, research, lead discussions and live chats for like-minded Model addicts.
